She let it. She took a couple steps towards the rift, pausing as the crystal in her hands pulsed in protest. She ignored it- tucking into the pouch on her belt and reaching through. With a splash and a gasp, she plunged into a cool pond.
Managing to get herself to the shore, she collapsed on the bank and let her eyes flutter shut. Just a quick break, she assured herself, smiling as a warm breeze blew over her.
Tolsimir was starting to get worried after 2 hours of trying to channel the gem. Normally, he would not feel so drained in trying to channel something, but the mana links felt different for the last hour. Tainted with something dark. The mana was pulling more from him than ever before. Why on earth was it doing this? It feels, unreal……..Tolsimir passed out, still channeling the astrange mana.
Tolsimir awoke to him face first into a fallen beast, blood all over his clothing, sword in hand. Tolsimir starts to panic, confused as to what happened and why he killed the beast. A crew of adventurers came forward, with the bard speaking for them ” You, were different in the distance. You looked like you were in trouble so we came as fast as we could from the distance, but after seeing how you challenged the beast, you looked like you could handle yourself.” The bard said, sheilding himself from possible harm from Tolsimir. “What Happened, everything is lost to me for a while there.” Tolsimir questioned.
Confused as to why he would ask that, the bard pulled out a lyre and began to tell the tale of what Tolsimir did.
”Sword in his hand
raising it high
He challenges the beast.
One Step at a Time
Closer and Closer
With darkness pulsing from his eyes
Wielding cursed power in dowser
Swinging at the mighty beast
He wont give up
Till it lays slain at his feet
Claws like sharp knives
Eyes shining Red
Breath like the dead
Vengeance Runs Through his veins
Showing this is right
His strikes unholy
Blight shining through blows lowly
Never to be seen again this lifetime
Sword To neck
Body lost to strikes to heck
He walks over and picks it up
Bathing in the blood and juices in slump
It offers small condolences
An Eye for an Eye
A Tooth for a tooth
Things changed for nigh”.
Tolsimir was scared. What happened to me? Why did I attack in that matter? Why don’t I remember it? What would cause me to rev-eh? Tolsimir felt feedback from the gem, from a warmer plane. Alessa? I should follow that to find if she took a wrong turn…..
Thanking the band of adventurers for checking in on him, Tolsimir found a hiding spot, walking in hunt for the thief.
